Medulli, I, II, III – Blue Abstract Encaustic Triptych Painting

With ultramarine blue and black variations, this abstract triptych encaustic painting is titled Medulli I, II, III. Inspired by microscopic brain and bone marrow examination slides, reinterpreted with more of an abstract aesthetic feel than a direct representation of an image from microbiology. I was interested in the then-current advancements in microscope technology that led to improvements in helping to advance treatments for brain and bone disorders, diseases, and conditions.
