by Elizabeth | Mar 18, 2013 | encaustic classes, Encaustic Workshops
I will be teaching two sessions of Encaustic at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, MI this summer.
Revisit an old technique of mixing oil paint with wax to achieve rich textural surfaces. New processes and products make this a viable alternative to traditional oil painting for artists today. Create three or more completed encaustic paintings. Class is appropriate for beginners or more advanced students who want to develop conceptually.
Thursdays 6:30pm – 9:30pm
Session I: May 16, 23, 30, and June 6, 13, 20, 27
Session II: July 11, 18, 25 and August 1, 8, 15, 22
Online registration and a pdf download of the catalog is here http://www.kcad.edu/youth-and-adults/adult-classes/
Register by April 22, 2013 and get a 10% discount!
After online registration, student will receive an outline and list of supplies.
Supplies are additional.
I hope to see you there!
