Join us Saturday, May 20th at Kendall College of Art & Design from 9am-4pm for a day of experimentation with encaustic!
Revisit an old technique of mixing pigment with wax. With this versatile medium you can create collage, build up textures and thin layers with glazing and scrape away wax to reveal objects embedded in the wax. Learn how to make smooth surfaces as ground for other painting materials.

I will be teaching two sections of Adobe InDesign at Kendall College of Art & Design this summer.
Adobe InDesign is used to create printed documents including brochures, newsletters, magazines, menus and more. Learn how to format text; develop layouts using columns, grids and styles; add photos and graphics, prepare your files for print and create PDFs.

I will be teaching two sessions this summer of Encaustic techniques at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, MI.
Revisit an old technique of mixing oil paint with wax to achieve rich textural surfaces. New processes and products make this a viable alternative to traditional oil painting for artists today. Create three or more completed encaustic paintings. Class is appropriate for beginner or more advanced level painters.
